Twynham is situated in the picturesque lakeside village of Kinloch - just a short walk from the crystal clear waters of our Great Lake. Guest accommodation is situated in the sunny, north facing wing and includes the large elegant guest lounge, one queen bedded room with private bathroom and one king or twin bedded room with small en-suite.
You will be warmly welcomed by your hosts Paul and Elizabeth Whitelock.
Elizabeth is a keen home-baker and you can look forward to complimentary morning and afternoon teas served in the secluded garden which is a quiet haven for weary travellers, or by a roaring fire in the colder months.
Elizabeth has a wide knowledge of the volcanic and geothermal history of the region. Paul is a New Zealand Kennel Club Judge and dog sports, golf, music and travel are family interests. They have one beautiful dog Saxon and one cat Bridgette (she's a boy!)
Kinloch Village Golf course is adjacent to the property, fishing five minutes stroll, water sports, snow skiing, bush and mountain walks.
Nestled within large private gardens, Twynham is unequalled as a base for exploring the delights of the Central Plateau region. Rotorua is a leisurely 45 minutes north, Napier 1.5 hours east and the volcanic splendour of Tongariro National Park just over one hour south.
Native birdlife abounds with tui, kingfishers, fantails and bellbirds to be seen and their songs heard in the secluded gardens.
