Great Barrier Island, Auckland, Auckland
Tryphena House is a unique, offgrid and iconic property right on the water, boasting its own small private pebble beach with panoramic views of Tryphena Harbour framed by Pohutukawa Trees. Formerly Great Barrier Island's post office, Tryphena House was built in the 1920's on the Eyre Homestead and is nestled in a unique location in Puriri Bay. Step off the deck, and a few metres to the bottom of the garden and you'll find yourself in the ocean. Just a 2km along the bay from Tryphena, the house is secluded but easily accessible. The house belongs to Pete & Lucy and has attached but separate guest space for people to enjoy the spot and the Barrier as much as they do.
