Tongariro Crossing Lodge

National Park, Taupo, Waikato

Description

Tongariro Crossing Lodge is a family-owned and operated boutique lodge which caters for discerning travellers wanting a place where they can truly feel at home in superior comfort.
We offer spacious and comfortable suites with a distinctive historic character in the heart of National Park Village - the gateway to the Tongariro National Park - a World Heritage Site and New Zealand's oldest National Park.
Whether you are coming to hike the legendary Tongariro Alpine Crossing, ski Mt Ruapehu, admire the splendour of Mt Ngauruhoe (aka Mt Doom), bike the 42 Traverse, canoe the mighty Whanganui River, or just want to chill among the mountains, Tongariro Crossing Lodge is the perfect base.
As travellers ourselves we know what it’s like exploring a new country or dashing down to the mountains for a weekend. Our focus is to provide our guests an unforgettable stay which enhances their experience of the magnificent Central Plateau region.
Due to the small size of our lodge, we can provide a very personal, warm and friendly environment where guests will feel rested, at home and taken care of from the moment they arrive.
Guests enjoy relaxing in our tranquil garden bar with a drink after a day's adventuring in the Tongariro National Park, or warming up with a mulled wine in our cosy lounge bar in colder months.
