Poripori Homestead offers accommodation in three locations on the property. A three and a two bedroom apartment/house, and a one bedroom cottage. The 3 and 2 bedroom apartments are part of the main house, though self contained. The cottage is detached.
The property has a garden, (unheated) swimming pool, tree house, fruit trees, and animals (sheep, chickens, ducks, a cat and a dog).
LOCATION
Poripori Homestead is located at the base of the Kaimai hills on 1.3 hectares (3.2 acres) of land within 7-10 minutes from Tauranga Crossing (the nearest supermarket and shops/cafe), 15-20 minutes from Tauranga CBD, and 20-30 minutes from Mt Maunganui and Papamoa beaches.
McLaren's Falls and Park is a 5 minutes away.
The Kaimai ranges have several walking tracks for the more active.
Hobbiton, the set for Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, and the TECT all terrain adventure park are both less than a 40 minute drive.
Other local activities include cycling, rafting, kayaking, fishing - fresh or salt water, hunting, shopping, dining.
Tauranga airport is 20-30 minutes away with Rotorua and Hamilton International Airports being 1 and 1.5 hours away respectively. Auckland is 2.5 hours away.
