There are many activities in the area, from Horse Treks, River Kayak Tours, Jet-boating, Cycle Trails, Hiking, Tongariro Crossing, Snowboarding, Snow skiing, Hunting, Golfing, Clay Bird Shooting etc. After a day of adventure come and relax in one of the Lodge’s spa pools overlooking the spectacular Mt Ruapehu.
The Lodge was originally built in 1941 as a Nurses Home and Doctors Residence for staff of the Waimarino Hospital (1922 – 2009). The building oozes character and the rustic charm of yesteryear.
