Oak Lane Lodge

Morrinsville, Waikato, Waikato

Description

Oak Lane Lodge offers boutique accommodation and a private function venue near Hamilton in one of Morrinsville’s grand Historic Homesteads. Built in 1912 by Robert Allen this property is rich in history and the homestead has original characteristics still to be found in the rooms like the butler bells. The property was originally named “Dimminsdale” believed to be named after the favorite spot for the Allen family holidays back home in England.
Through many changes of ownership, it remained a family home until 2006 when it became Oak Lane Lodge.
The property is surrounded by grounds featuring gardens and sculptures by artist Mike Holtom. Most of the canopy of the garden consists of trees at least 100 years old many of which were planted around the time the property was built. Take a stroll around the property and take the Garden Sculpture Tour.
