Lochmara is a locally owned and operated small resort, (since the beginning of Lochmara Lodge 22 years ago) with only 14 rooms, a waterfront cafe set right on the waters edge, a permanetly moored Underwater Observatory and Lochmara is set on 11 acres of land in the Marlborough Sounds in Lochmara Bay, Queen Charlotte Sound, Picton. Come and experience a way of life with NO roads, although we can easily arrange water transport for you from Picton (charges apply). Lochmara also has a scenic 3.5km walking track to the world famous Queen Charlotte Track.
