Quartz Clearing is 2.5 hours drive from Nelson and 30 minutes from Collingwood in the stunning Golden Bay region of the South Island.
Set in a secluded spot next to a bubbling rocky-bottomed stream on the property, the glamping accommodation is made up of three very unique little buildings. An elevated hut contains a queen bed with french doors looking out to the stream and bush beyond. The small log cabin a few steps away has a kitchen, lounging area and secondary sleeping space in the loft. A third hut houses a semi-outdoor bathroom with a toilet, shower and basin.
Quartz Clearing is named for the Quartz Range... A beautiful mountain range that is visible to the east of the site. To the West, are stunning views of the Whakaramarama Range in the Kahurangi National Park. The property is bush-clad - covered in New Zealand native podocarp forest. Birds abound - with weka, kereru, bellbird, tui, morepork regular visitors to the campsite.
